53 Portrait of My Mother

My mother took me to the Boston Flower Exchange in December, 2006, looking for flowers for an event at her home. For this week's podcast episode, I revisted the video that I shot that day and created this portrait of a remarkable woman. The way she hunts for flowers tells a lot about the way she lives her life - with tenacity, originality, and grace. She's been battling MS for 40 years. I still have a hard time keeping up with her, but I love trying!

Music for this episode is "Millionaire Girlfriend" in karaoke format by Jonathan Coulton, from his Smoking Monkey CD, used under Creative Commons license. Please check out Jonathan's great music here.
