Geoff Livingston, author of Now is Gone: A Primer on New Media for Executives and Entrepreneurs, was guest speaker Monday at the Social Media Breakfast organized in Boston by Bryan Person of Monster and hosted by the Horn Group. Geoff led a lively discussion that focused on the transition from thinking of a monolithic audience to thinking of the individual people who make it up and form a community. I spoke with him afterward about his experiences helping arts organizations make this transition. One client of his is the Cultural Development Corporation's Source theatre in Washington, D.C., for whom he is helping create a Facebook presence and blog.

After spending most of today looking for just the right music to accompany this theme, I found "Sweet Blossom" by Robin Stine, courtesy of the Podsafe Music Network. The song is from her Daydream CD.

Making cameo appearances at the end of this episode are Chris Brogan, Steve Garfield, and Ami Chittwood with her new Chumby. The breakfast was held in the wine cellar of the Mooo Restaurant at Fifteen Beacon Hotel.
