56 A Look at the Ford Flex

I found myself surrounded by automotive journalists at a luncheon yesterday at Elway's Restaurant hosted by Ford Motor Company and the Rocky Mountain Automotive Press Association. Myself and another social media activist, Paul Swansen, were invited through the good offices of Scott Monty, Ford's new social networking/media guru. I Ustreamed the presentation by David Finnegan, marketing manager - hybrids, and after the lunch asked him about the coolest looking car they brought, a Flex. It's not a hybrid yet, but I liked the look of it.

Note: Just after posting this at Blip, I found that Scott Monty had left a comment there noting that the Flex has the best fuel mileage in its class, and at some point in 2009 it will have the Eco-Boost engine, boosting economy even more.

55 How to Start a Podcast

This is a portion of a talk I gave on August 19, 2008 to the Denver Area Podcasters. The idea was to convey lessons I've learned in starting a new Friday podcast, The Kindle Chronicles, available at the iTunes Store.

My Colorado friend Goldie Katsu invited me to address the meeting, and she took my advice to heart by starting a very original new podcast called Goldie's Stories. Goldie is also hard at working organizing the Thin Air Summit November 7-8th in Denver, which I'm sorry I'll miss, because it falls during our next extended stay in Cambridge, Mass.
