12 The Secret of Video

Ed Imbier taught a great all-day workshop yesterday in video techniques at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education. I began the day wondering what big secret I would learn that would benefit my video podcasts. How to make original soundtracks using GarageBand? Perspective? Avoiding the quirks of amateurs? Yes to all that, but the real secret is one I learned from the owner of a Boston barbershop, Leo James, who has spent more than a year working on "Not a Bed of Roses," a movie based on his journey from Jamaica to America.

This is great. I work at CCAE and it's very inspiring to see what and how people learn.

It makes me want to take the class myself.

My mom is already signed up for the next session. I'll have to send her your link.

Gratefully,

will
