Are people in Cambridge, Mass., smarter than people in Denver? Which city is more serious? Which is more optimistic? Will I come home to Macintosh, my first computer love, after years of PC exile? How can it snow and be sunny at the same time? What memories does a walk down Craigie Street near my parents' home unleash while walking the dog on the first day of a two-week visit? Thanks to Claire, I have walked the neighborhood a lot more than usual, admiring the graceful big homes (including the one in the photo, on upper Highland Street), and thinking out loud to a Pentax Optio camera.
